Chair Upholstery, like Chair Caning, involves complete removal of seating material and padding, then "rebuilding from the springs up" after all wood repair and refinishing of exposed areas is complete.

A client brought this chair in to be re-upholstered. It had belonged to a "favorite aunt" and she remembered it well from Sunday visits, as a child.
When we removed all of the old fabric we found this "cornucopia" pattern underneath.
